Description

Please note this event has been postponed.

The FIFSW Alumni Association held its second book club meeting of the year on January 22nd, featuring “Beartown” by Fredrik Backman. With attendance both in person and via teleconference, Alumni participants enjoyed a discussion that was passionate, heartfelt, thoughtful, and fun! It was clear from the start that everyone thought the book was AMAZING and filled with wonderfully authentic writing about pertinent issues.

We hope you can join us at the next book club meeting to discuss “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr on Wednesday, March 25th at 6pm (both in person and online options available). The book, which tells the story of a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths meet in occupied France as they're trying to survive the devastation of WWII, promises to be wonderful and thought provoking. It won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2015 and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, also in 2015.

All FIFSW alumni are welcome to join.

See you there!
